Sabina von Kessel has 30 years of international experience in the design of visual communication. She has worked as a photographer, designer and lecturer in India, Europe and Africa. She works with and in a multidisciplinary team, which has proven very successful. We believe in communication “with” people, in capacity building and in C4D strategies.
Sabina is a lecturer, photographer and designer. She is also trained in pedagogy. She loves to design for the “real world” and photograph “real” people, especially children. In her career she photographed shipyard workers in the Hamburg harbour, the San people in Botswana, the oldest human culture in the world and recently the weavers in the medina of Tunis. In India, she has extensive experience working with unorganised workers in their workplaces in Karnataka. She has also photographed the children living in the upscale gated communities and the children living in the poor slums, just outside the gated communities, in Bangalore. Her work was exhibited and published in different print media and is collected in the Hamburg Museums as well as in the photo bank of the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). As a visual communication designer, she has a broad range of experience in planning and execution of projects, which include development projects. She works with photography, video, print and exhibition design, as well as web design.
Sabina has lived and worked for more than 10 years in India. In the beginning, she worked for several NGOs in Tamil Nadu and later in Bangalore for the GIZ. She also taught design and photography in Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore. At present, she teaches and works in Berlin and Hamburg.
Jagadish Singh is a freelance Film Director, Editor, Photographer and a DSLR cinematographer from Bangalore. He is a strong media and communication professional,skilled in Advertising, Film, Event Management, Video Editing, Video Production and Audio Production.
Urmila Pullat is a lawyer and freelance writer from India. She is currently running the India desk for the Hong-Kong based regional human rights organisation, the Asian Human Rights Commission. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Oxford and is extremely passionate about justice, rule of law and human rights. For 3 years, she wrote a monthly column reviewing world movies of human and social interest, for a South Indian magazine.
She regularly writes on issues of criminal justice and human rights and is the founder of the website project, How Revealing.
Veecheet Dhakal is a Filmmaker and cinematographer |Producer| Post-Production| Violinist | A filmmaker by passion and training, Veecheet has produced many short films, documentaries and commercials for a variety of clients , ranging from art House Documentaries to adventure sports and community and character based films. He is currently the Founder and Director of Firiri Films, based in Bangalore, and is also working on an independent production based in the River Teesta, in Kalimpong and Sikkim. Through Firiri Films, Veecheet has gained considerable experience in the production and management of video teams through various projects.
Anudwatt Dhakal is a sound recordist, musician, composer and sound engineer. Anudwatt’s understanding of sound started as a musician from where he went on to be the Head of Sound At Resonance Studios, and through this work he has recorded with various artists, and productions for commercials and films. Soon after, Anudwatt began to collaborate and head sound production at Firiri Films. Anudwatt’s recordings and Sessions with artists have been featured on many websites and some of the music recorded by him has gone viral recently as well.
He has gained his experience in studio and on the field, recording a variety of projects – from documentary films with Firiri Films to Choirs in Cathedrals to dubbing sessions in the studios to mixing Disney’s Show for kids – ‘Astra Force’( which featured Amitabh Bachan himself! )
After graduating in Visual Communication Design from Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, Devashish went on to work with an interdisciplinary design firm and then an art direction studio for 2 years before founding G.A.S over the past 5 years, he has worked with start ups, niche businesses. established companies and has taught as visiting faculty at ISDI Parsons in Mumbai for over a year. He works largely with branding & art direction in graphic design and is a proficient illustrator.
Having also graduated from Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, Priyanka is a Visual Communication Designer with a great interest in packaging & product development in graphic design. Her areas of interest lies in design for products and building educational tools for children. Having worked with many industry level design firms, she brings with her, experience in colour theory, trend forecasting and research for markets for FMCG products.
